Have just bought a Braun 4745 TriControl cordless rechargable electric shaver.
It runs on 240v and also it's own internal battery making it great when out an about as it comes with it's own robust plastic case.

Link: Braun shaver

Best bit was the price, was originally quoted $169 and then shortly after I was coerced to looking in Target while the gf went into the bra's an stuff store.

The exact same shaver there was $59 so I thinks is obviously a mistaken price, when we went through the check-out the price was queried - but sanity reined, it's a computer glitch and they had to wear it.
Took the original shaver back to **** and we enjoyed a nice meal on the difference.

Anyone looking for a new 'cheap' shaver you know where to look, till the glitch is fixed lol
Used it last night - works a treat too.

Hi Mainey

Sounds like you had a real win there , never believed in the
" You get what you pay for line " and always go for a least 2 prices
on everything these days.

Had my own little shaver issue to ,in that I went to get replacement blades for one and they cost $36.

As I did I noticed the "disposable electric shavers" nearby.

Picked one up for I think $22 and its great for camping and it even
takes standard AA batteries.

Expect it should last at least a year of camping use with care.

"It's great for camping"

When I am camping I am not shaving, that's one of the great things about camping.

yet online overseas they are available for US$40, go figure....i would think that the $59 might be closer to their purchase price.

Hi Gramps,
I always worry about people who cultivate on their face that which grows wild on their arse!

Great minds Al..............

I was wondering why the discussion started. LOL Must say I just like some clippers every three weeks or so to a number II all around the head. Guys who shave their heads these days make bald guys really comfortable for all that.

Mind you I don't look a second time at gals who do the same, especially if they shave ;-)))))

The original battery charge lasted till yesterday, 8th Sept.
The shaver started great, but after a few mins running it just died very quickly, with-in a few seconds of starting to show any signs of running short of power it was totally 'dead'

I connected it direct to the 240v recharger via the Inverter and finished off in 240v mode.

Left it connected to the Inverter and gave it a good 8 hours charge yesterday.
Used it again this morning, it was working as good as new again, so I hope I can expect at least a week between recharging.
